In your opinion what was the best musical revival ever?
hmmm...
CHICAGO (although I dislike the revival very much) is probably noted as the best ever because it is so much more succesful than the original.

starring the spawn K-Fed and Brit as Jenny, and the future spawn of Hanke in his father's role.
Winston was still David Turner though.
And Lyndon Johnson played God.

That I have seen? This one's easy. "Carousel" 94 Lincoln Center.
... or the 2000 42nd Street revival.
I imagine many will say SWEENEY TODD.
KISS ME KATE with Marin Mazzie, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Amy Spanger, and Michael Berresse, and the wonderfully talented ensemble. Granted my life span has been from 1986 to present day though :) Best revival I've seen and well I just don't know Best Revival Ever. I agree with CHICAGO in the above posting... very successful.

A Funny Thig Happened on the Way to the Forum or Assassins for me.
Chiacgo and Sweeney. These aren't the best revivals ever but come pretty high on my list.
CABARET.
Always and forever.
well as far as the one i loved the most.... sweeney todd, but the best by popular belief i'd have to say chicago
From all the hype, I would have thought it to be ACL...oh well...
Of those I have seen: Cabaret, Chicago, Sweeney Todd.
CHICAGO is the longest running and most successful revival in history. I think it's deserving of the title.

I loved that revival. Hunter Foster and Rosie O on the same stage? LOVE it!
I have to say 10 TIMES for Chicago, who can deny that?
1. Cabaret
2. The King and I
3. Flower Drum Song
4. Oliver!
5. The Sound of Music

Hey! Are we all forgetting Oh! Calcutta!?
The Lincoln Center revival of CAROUSEL in 1994 was so wonderful in the acting, the singing, the dancing, the sets, the lighting, the costumes, the orchestra, and, maybe above all, the direction. It was a remarkable event that I will always remember.
Oh, yeah! KISS ME KATE with Mazzie and Stokes-Mitchell.

KISS ME, KATE wasn't just the best revival ever. It was the best show ever.
My vote goes for Chicago.
It's an excellent musical.
Very successful, both financially & performance wise.
It's a piece of theatre that has left an everlasting mark on Broadway.
I've gotta go with KISS ME, KATE.
I am in love with Brian Stokes Mitchell and Marin Mazzie in that....not to mention that's how I fell in love with Amy Spanger...
I constantly find myself listening to the revival cast recording 10 times more often than I do the original...
