Several tracks from the Lion King OBCR are pretty great for blasting.

Yeah, I agree with most of these. Great thread for discussion! :P

"One Night in Bangkok" is my all time favorite, the concept album version. Seriously. The best there is. Although I do have two different techno remixes of it that are both really good too...

"30/90" from tick...tick..BOOM! is a definite yes.

"Out Tonight" from the Rent movie.

"Who Loves You" from Jersey Boys.

"What You Own" from the Rent OBCR.

...those are my favorites in particular anyway.

Rent: title song, One Song Glory, Out Tonight, La Vie Boheme, Take Me or Leave Me, What You Own, Finale B (that was mostly during my pre/post movie binge)

Ragtime: title song, Your Daddy's Son, New Music, Wheels of a Dream, 'Til We Reach That Day, Back to Before, Make Them Hear You, Finale/Wheels of a Dream: Reprise, the Symphonic arrangement at the end

Les Miserables: Master of the House, Do You Hear the People Sing?, One Day More!, Finale

Anytime I'm on a road trip I always bring at least those three and play them through.

I also play "You Can't Stop the Beat," "30/90," the last phrases of "A Little Priest" (I usually rewind it and repeat it a few times - they're my favorite lyrics EVER), and parts of A Chorus Line, especially the last part of the Montage. I love to roll down my windows and crank the "SH*T, Richie" section up to about 42-43 (I usually play everything at 28-30)!!!

Also I like to play "Quado men'vo solleta" from La Boheme pretty loud, too.

		     			Weekend in the Country.
Thank you C.
How the hell could I forget.

What a song. That harmony at the end is orgasm inducing.

That's funny, cause I'm watching Kinsey right now, and I'm watching some old lady orgasm.

Creepy...

It could become even more fun if you assign parts! I've yet to find enough friends who know it to actually do it, I just do it by myself. I actually prefer the Anne part for the sheer comedy.

Also it has my favorite Sondheim lyrics for any of his songs. So brilliant

Leander. . . . old lady orgasims are in no way funny. *shivers*

"30/90" has to be one of the best songs for this sort of thing - and something that both my sister and I (who share a car and constantly have to ferry each other around) agree on. We also are very big on blasting "Money" from Cabaret.

And add me to the "A Weekend in the Country" team! So much fun to sing along with!
