Best Time To Get Tickets?

I was wondering when is the best time to get a decent priced ticket? Do ticket prices change through out the year depending on the time of year it is? My reason is I am going to NYC for a week in March by myself. Will there be major discounts?

You won't find discounts available for March right now. (Although I'm sure there are exceptions). The discounts available now are pretty much good until just before Xmas. When the next "batch" comes out, it will be for Jan/Feb.

You just need to keep checking!

You should be able to get good discount codes right after the holidays. The period from January-March is known as the "January Slump" in theater circles because ticket sales are very slow. Look for the "Season of Savings" brochure to come out around Christmas.
