Stephanie Block, Bernadette Peters, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Isabel Keating. She had a very strong voice as Judy and am wondering what she sounds like when she sings in her own voice. Has anyone ever heard her? Sing as herself I mean?

Okay, I know this is predictable and cliche but I'm going to say it anyway--
Emily Skinner.
If we're talking versatility, range, and power... her voice *never* fails to impress. :)
As far as guys go, Norm Lewis, definitely. :)

Obviously, past ones would be Lupone, "New Argentina", Holliday, "And I Am Telling You", Andrea McArdle, "Tomorrow".
Recently, the single most profound vocal performance I've heard, was Orfeh singing "Ball and Chain" in Love, Janis. Actually, I'ver never caught her giving an "off" performance. Other great moments, Sherie Scott, "Strongest Suit", and Colleen Sexton. And since I caught Pinkins' on a good night, she gets a vote too.
Brian Stokes Mitchell- Impossible Dream...no words can describe how amazing it was to hear him sing that song. He is SO fantastic!
