Best recording of "I Have A Love" from West Side Story?

I was just wondering what you guys thought was the best recording of this beautiful song in "West Side Story"? I saw an amateur production of the show last week and realised that the only recording I have is from the film and, to me, it kind of stinks! Any suggestions/recommendations?

Oddly enough, Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett do a magnificent job with the song on the recording and video titles JULIE AND CAROL AT CARNEGIE HALL.

I love Lisa Vroman's interpretation of this song. It also has A Boy Like That before I Have A Love. It is gorgeous. It is on her CD Broadway Classic, very good CD too.

I personally like David Hasselhoff and Bea Arthur's version from the Brady Bunch Variety Show.

Are you saying the film version stinks because of the phony accents?

If you want to hear a good version of it, you should hear either Millicent Martin and Julia McKenzie's version on SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM, Chita Rivera and Carol Lawrence's version on the OBC, or Vanessa Williams and Harolyn Blackwell singing the song.

It's on Harolyn's Bernstein album and it's gorgeous. I weep when gets to the lyrics "Hold him, hold him, forever."

But my favorite is Julie and Carol.

Julie and Carol, definitely. Something about the fact that it's part of a (mostly humorous) medley really makes them pulling off their suddenly dramatic interpretation of "I Have A Love" that much more thrilling.

I like Patti LuPone's verison, where she sings "A Boy Like That" AND "I Have a Love". (You can find it on the site that shall not be named)
But my favorite is the Chita Rivera/Carol Lawrence verison
