What are your favorite torch songs? You know, songs were people lament about a lost love, "My lover done me wrong, but I still love him/her", or "Where did my lover go?" songs. In short, a song where the singer "holds a torch" for someone. My picks:
Fanny Brice's "My Man" from ZIEGFELD FOLLIES
"Bill" from SHOW BOAT
"Goodbye, Love" from RENT
"Lover, Come Back to Me" from THE NEW MOON
"But Not for Me" from GIRL CRAZY and CRAZY FOR YOU
"Where Has My Hubby Gone Blues" from NO, NO, NANETTE
BONUS: My favorite ANTI-torch song is "Men" from LORELEI. Carol Channing was absolutely HILARIOUS!
"Losing My Mind" from FOLLIES.
("Wicked Little Town" from HEDWIG, too, if it counts.)

"stormy weather" oooh i love that song
and "come to your senses" from tick,tick...boom!
I second "Stormy Weather," and I'd add "My Man's Gone Now" from Porgy and Bess. And also "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning."
Oh! I forgot "Dear Friend" from SHE LOVES ME and "Always, Always You" from CARNIVAL
Maybe this time- cabaret and does i'll cover you reprise from rent count?

"Apology to a Cow" - Bat Boy.
"The More You Ruv Someone" - Avenue Q.
the more you ruv someone
to sing- johanna, if i can't love her(beauty and the beast)
I've always thought that the quintessential "torch song" was "Black Coffee."
"I'm mooning all the morning,
and mourning all the night.
And in between it's nicotine
and not much heart to fight black coffee."
What a lyric!
I agree with Veuve -- Black Coffee is murder!
I also agree with MasterLcZ, "Too Late Now" is such a delicate and heart-felt torch song. "Time Heals Everything" hurts!
I add:
The Man That Got Away
This Time The Dream's On Me
Last Night When We Were Young (this song is just mean! - it's so sad)
