Just heard that Betty Buckley will be performing in Sweeney Todd (I'm assuming as Mrs. Lovett) next Summer at a theater in the Hamptons! Does anyone have anymore info about this?

There was a rumor a couple months back that Buckley would be playing the title role in a production at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor next year, so I assume that's the place in the Hamptons the rumor you heard alluded to.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

She performed Epiphany" at her concert at BB Kings last year and was amazing. She mentioned that she would love to play Sweeney and asked if there were any investors in the audience. Maybe she found one.

I'd love to see it. She does "scary" very well.

Maybe she's been inspired by Alan Cumming, and it'll be a one-woman production of Sweeney Todd.

You know with the dreck I've been seeing lately (Nobody Loves You; Far From Heaven etc) , This might not be so bad!
