OMG you all are WAY too critical. I personally liked it. I think it was a great little homage to the movie. Haven't performers been doing this all for years? Madonna did it with "Keep It Together" on the Blonde Ambition tour. What makes this bad in your eyes? The dancing is sexy, the little monologues are adequate, even funny...
Aren't concerts supposed to be a little theatrical, maybe even a little cheesy? At least she isn't trying to duplicate something crappy. I think ya'll just want to hate on Beyonce because she wasn't spectacular in Dreamgirls. I dunno...that's just just my two cents, but what the hell do I know?

I saw it as an homage. Madonna has done many, as have other pop stars. And its no secret that Beyonce did a lot of research watching musicals before "Dreamgirls", hence the Frug/"Get Me Bodied" video.

And frankly, it's nice when pop culture acknowledges our presence. I'm not ready for theatre to become as culturally irrelevant as opera.

So, if a pop star wants to pay an homage to musical theatre, let 'em!

Beyonce can do whatever she wants.... she may get a bit overplayed but you cannot deny her talent!!

EXACTLY!! Why are people crazy? This is in the end a good thing. People are always hating on Beyonce... give the girl a break!

It should also be noted that Beyonce didn't even perform in it. She was back stage changing into that BuzzLight Year/Acid Queen/Bumble Bee suit... That is the real travesty of the whole vid.

I love the "Get me Bodied" video. I like that a pop/R&B star gives a nod to the theatre. And the choreography was wonderful. I read or saw her say that she had seen the show and liked it and wanted to do something to kind of pay tribute to it. She did a fine job and even had the rest of Destiny's Child in the video. She even had the pony tail girl!

Those girls were totally creepy, everything, the moves and stuff.. ughh
