Has anyone seen this? Fast forward to about 2 minutes into it.
It took me about 30 seconds to realize, "Oh, wow. It's a bad spin off of The Cell Block Tango." They even stole the chairs from the Broadway show!!
Cell Block...Hip Hop?
Oh, wow... It is a total rip off of both the movie and musical.
"Shoulder. Chest. Pants. Shoes."
So f-----in' stupid.
And yes, a rip-off-- excuse me-- homage for sure.
Wow. That was horrible. And a complete rip off.
I miss the days when Beyonce did original things.
That is ugly!!!
Beyonce = Buzz Lightyear?
I'm wondering how much these girls were paid because they were horrible. They should not have moved their mouths at all.
Only Madonna can pull ish like this off. Of course, not this crap, but you know how she do. I remember watching Madonna concerts on laser-disc when I was a kid. Y'all know how she do.

That clip made me want to give Beyonce a big hug. Its clear what she was trying to do, but it was probably totally lost on her audience, and if any people in the audience are familiar with Chicago the movie or show, they were probably ticked off at what a shoddy effort it was.
I was skeptical when it started, but I actually found it entertaining! Ever since I saw her in Dreamgirls, I've taken a liking for this woman. She has star quality and can sing very well. She moves that sexy body of hers really well, too. Be honest. Don't you wish you were in her shoes and doing that?
Thanks for posting!
I think it's kinda cool.
As for it being a rip-off, I know this is broadwayworld, but does anyone watch MTV or music videos?!? 90% of all music videos have some kind of reference to a movie or tv show or other music video.
Is Madonna's Material Girl video bad because it rips off Gentlemen Prefer Blondes? No... it's how the music industry works!
But since we're on the subject... Here is the Pussy Cat Dolls stealing Fosse's Sweet Charity and Cabaret choreography.
Pussy Cat Dolls doing Fosse
um... I wonder who thought that was a good idea?
I love how her song is totally a nasty-girl version of the Hokey Pokey.
There's referencing and then there's ripping off. Rihanna references Liza's Sally Bowles in "Umbrella." This is a rip-off. Same costume and lighting concept, same song structure, vague attempts at original (awful) lyrics. Just... no.
I don't think the issue is so much that it is a rip off; it's that it is a bad rip off.
I saw maybe 30 seconds and that was enough.

I watched it all (at least until she did the Spaceman Stuff).
I want those four minutes of my life back - now! Or she'll only have herself to blame.
ugh....you people are soooo tired
thank you tonya.
I was entertained and enjoyed it for what it was.

I miss the days when Beyonce did original things.
The when now?
I gave up on her doing original things when she ripped off the "Rich Man's Frug" sequence from "Sweet Charity" for her "Get Me Bodied" video. It took my favorite song off her B'Day album, and one of my favorite non-Sondheim, non-Kander&Ebb musicals, and ruined both of them for me for a LONG time.
Madonna at least seems to use more tact when she rips another work off, doing it so that she "works" it better.
