Billy Crystal in The Producers

As I was watching the opening "number" of The Oscars, I couldn't help realizing that Billy Crystal would make a great Max in The Producers. What do you think?

I'd rather have Nathan host the Oscars.

Or even better, Nathan & Bette Midler.

It would never happen...Hollywood would be terrified at the thought.

Jack and Will's bit on the Oscar show was the only true comic moment in an otherwise dull and predictable show.

Yeah Jack and Will's song was pretty hilarious.One other thing that I thought was funny was the Jim Carrey/ Blake Edwards bit. I really thought he had a broken leg and then he went zooming across the stage in a Peter Seller's - like stunt, that was genius. Edwards has still got it! I must agree thought that the show was pretty average though, nothing too special.

Last night was the first night I have heard Jack Black sing, I was suprised he was much much better than I expected.

I love Jack Black but after being on set of School Of Rock for 3 days and hearing him sing 400 times 15 hours a day im done. lol But I do think it was great that they were on last night.

hahaha yea i realli liked the will/jack song....very creative and funny. but during those opening clips with billy crystal in it......i didnt need to see him naked.....=P and there were like 3 shots of him naked........didnt need that visual! haha i too think he would make an interesting Bialystock.

Jack Black has a wonderfeul voice. If you haven't heard his Tenacious D stuff, you should really go buy the cd. The songs are well-written, well-sung, and freaking hilarious. It would be wonderful to see him in something on Broadway. Not sure what existing show he could fit in to, but something could definitly be written with him in mind. Updated On: 3/2/04 at 04:21 PM

How about Steve Martin as Leo (if he can actually sing well)...?
Steve is certainly funny and I think could pull of the blankie hysteria pretty well.
