Billy Elliot 2/21/09- Haydn injured
Billy Elliot 2/21/09- Haydn injured#1
Posted: 2/22/09 at 12:36amI saw Billy Elliot again tonight. I was great as usual, but in the middle of "born to boogie" Haydn grabbed her leg and had to stop dancing. She finished the song standing on the side holding her leg up. She limped through the rest of act 1 and then Leah Hocking went on for act 2. I felt really bad for her because she looked like she was in a lot of pain.

I feel so bad. As it is Haydn is scheduled to be out for a while starting tomorrow so at least she'll get to rest. All the best to her.
How did the Billy handle it during the song?

Posted: 2/22/09 at 12:44amleah was good in the second act. Her accent was very good and it made me even more excited to see her do the entire show on Tuesday.

Trent was on as Billy tonight and he handled it like a pro. Trent and thommie just went on as normal. Hadyn limped over to the chair when needed, but did not dance. Trent and thommie did all the jump rope and tap on their own. It went into the next scene and there was a long pause after billy and debbie finish their conversation. Haydn was a little late coming back in and I'm not sure the kids knew what was going to happen. Then Haydn limped onstage and went on like normal. It was kind of hard to watch because you could see that she was hurting. I almost thought for a bit that they were going to stop the show to make sure she was ok, but she soldiered on and finished act 1.

Haydn is on vacation from today through February 28...
There's never a good time to be injured, but at least she has this opportunity to rest up. She's a wonderful talent, and I hope she heals up soon.

Posted: 2/22/09 at 11:38amSince this thread mentions Trent, and the BE love forum does not seem to be working, I just want to wish Trent a happy Birthday!!! Kiril had a birthday last week as well.
