If you open the current thread about one of the Billys on the first page, you would have found the info.
Tuesday-Tommy
Wed.- Kiril and Trent.
Thurs (Today)- David
Tomorrow( Fri)- Most likely Tommy.
It may switch weekly, no one knows for sure.

Just a note that last night was Tommy.
I already confirmed it on the other Tommy thread before coming across this one, but just in case someone misses the info.

It rotates consistantly, with adjustments here and there since there's an odd number of boys and an even number of performances. However, that was with the three boys...with four I don't know. If Tommy's going to be part of the regular rotation they might put the boys on a regular schedule, since it will be evenly divisible now.

This is really confusing. You wrote this today, Friday the 13th. But you said that Thurs was TODAY, with David and TOMORROW is Friday, with Tommy.
Linda's was also written today and it says that last night (Thursday?) it was Tommy.
OOOOOOOOPS!
I just realized that you copied that from an earlier post.

I wrote only to follow-up WOW2's post (which Fosse76 duplicated).
To be clear: Tommy was Billy in last night's performance, not David. I saw his name on the board and also in passing Imperial (after I got out of ITH), I heard one of the attendees say "it's was his (Tommy's) second show." That pretty much confirms it was Tommy (even if the board was wrong, due to a last minute change, which I experienced).

Posted: 2/13/09 at 12:22pmJust curious... who was on as Michael last night (Thursday the 12th). I previousely saw David in the role and I would love to see him again! And as for Billy, if Tommy was on last night would David be on tonight?

Posted: 2/13/09 at 12:31pmNow that there are 4 Billys, if they follow the same scheduling pattern as London - well there is no pattern. It does not work that they are in the same order and just follow each other all the time. If that were to happen then the same Billys would now perform on the same days each week. In London they are moved around on a weekly basis so that they very rarely, if ever, appear on the same day two weeks on the run. I would assume, but possibly wrongly, that that is now how they will do it in New York.

2/14:
Matinee:
Billy - Kiril Kulish
(sorry not sure about the others)
Evening: (performance I went to)
Billy - Trent Kowalik
Michael - Frank Dolce
Small Boy - Matthew Mindler
Older Billy & Scottish Dancer - Grant Turner
Issues tonight: The flying scene was cut out during swan lake.
In addition, facing the audience's right, they had to polish the far corner because it was slippery (from the smoke??). This also happened last Tuesday when I went, but at least the show went on with stage staff working on it. Last night, they worked on it in-between scenes (right after swan lake). An announcement was made and the audience was cooperative and patient about it during the five minute disruption. (Phew.)
Other than that, it was the perfect evening with Billy & co AND my honey (who is finally no longer a BE virgin!). :)

Posted: 2/16/09 at 3:22amWow I guessed I lucked out, as I was at the 2/14 matinee with Kiril and the flying scene was working. Not to mention utterly transcendent and the most beautiful moment of art I've experienced. But then again I could say that similar things for most of the show. It's kind of weird to have a movie that I praise so highly adapted into a musical that I put on just as high a pedestal. Usually you either have a crap movie made good (Xanadu), mediocre comedy made mediocre musical (Legally Blonde), or some combination of the two. But this just worked so well.

That's really too bad about the oil slicks. It's also rather amazing because Greg gave us a tour backstage after the matinee and showed us the tanks of (carbon dioxide?) that are used to make the 'smoke' on stage. He said it's mixed with a little bit of oil to hold the smoke down to stage level. Otherwise the smoke would just rise and dissipate in the air. He said that on Tuesday the mix of oil to gas was a little rich, making the surface of the stage slick. He said they were all sliding around. During his scene with Haydn, in the snow, he was sliding around as if there were ice on the ground. They had to cancel some of those scenes because of the danger to the dancers - especially Billy - should they happen to fall. It's incredible that it happened again that evening.
And bythesword - Kiril was even more fabulous than the first time I'd seen him. We were thrilled to meet him after the show and have the opportunity to tell him just how much we appreciate what he does in the show.

Posted: 2/16/09 at 11:00amHow did you get backstage Mamie??? I would love to get to see how everything works. Being a stage manager, I have shadowed various shows on Broadway but I think BETM would be a totally different experience. The lighting is fabulous!
