I do agree that it is against common theatre courtesy to take private pictures in any theatre performance ("use of photography prohibited" announcements always used), but yet again...I don't see the need to start an argument over it! (as for professional production shots, well thats obviously allowed).
i suppose...although in pretty much all theatres they do not allow photography for copyright reasons. perhaps it's just meant to be taken as standard theatre procedure (as is mobile phones and electrical equipment etc)>
From an artistic point of view, I don't think it would be ok to take pictures during the actual performance (especially not using flash), but I don't see how it could be annoying for the actors to have some pictures taken during the finale. At the stage door, it is almost expected, right? Speaking of that, I'd like to see more pictures of the rest of the cast!!!

incidentally, if you look at the theatre Terms and Conditions on the last page of the programme it says:
"The use of cameras and recording equipment is prohibited. Please ensure that mobile telephones, messaging equipment, watches etc. are silenced."
But if there is no announcement beforehand (which i cant remember), perhaps they should announce it for people who dont buy a programme or read the small print
no i dont think that it has been made very clear. i definitely remember a mobile phone announcement, but not a photography one (perhaps someone seeing the show soon can confirm this out of interest). They should announce this (although it may seem obvious, some people who arent regular theatregoers would not necessarily know the etiquette)
dear me how stupid do u av to b not to know NOT to take pics INSIDE the theater.im only a kid but i dont need a anouncemount to tell me somethin which is common sense. u might not like me folks but I AM RIGHT on this one and u dont like it

Sorry guys, I was SO tired that I slept whilst I was typing the review! SORRY! But here it is: The cast was the same as last night. But the atmosphere was different. James (Billy): His singing has DEFINITELY improved and sounded alot more comfortable in my opinion. His acting.... great, touching, spot-on, energetic as usual! His dancing..... WOW again! He NEVER fails to amaze me with his dance! SO much emotion and anger and passion and energy in it! And we just went METAL when he did his backflip in 'Electricity'. I would give him a 10/10 for this afternoon's performance. Brad (Michael): What can I say? He is hilarious and his chemistry with James is SO good! It seemed that they have been performing together for AGES! Flawless! Michael again is REALLY energetic! And his 'megasoraus' joke was hilarious! LOVE him! He's such a killer onstage! 10/10! Gillian, Tom, Ann & Chris (Mrs. Wilkinson, Dad, Grandma & Tony): 3rd time seeing them, not disappointed. REALLY liked their performances, but all the praise is all the same as my previous posts! NO words can describe how good they were and you would not know that Gillian and Chris were both alternates and understudies if you didn't know the show! Brooke (Debbie): She's REAL cute onstage! I love her deathstares to Mrs. Wilkinson. And her fedup attitude towards her. She's SO funny! Hope the role was bigger! During the snowing scene, the lights went weird. It started turning into different kinds of colours! But not much audiences realise. I think in today's performance, James seemed more confident. It was still SO nice to see all the actors' eye contacts! I was overall VERY impressed with the show! I mean, I will probably never seen James in the show again ;( but seeing him is already a bonus! God bless that boy! After that, we went to the stage door and we took ALOT of pictures with the ballet girls and James. Pictures:
