Quoted below is MFs first post.
Just been reading through the thread and it seems this show has some really fanatical supporters.
Well i agree the show is very good but far from perfect, the ensemble for instance are awful and bring nothing to the show leaving the young lead an awaful lot to do.
The 3 debbies are average beyond belief,in the film debbie is integral to billys growing up but not here.
Onto the boys
Liam brilliant a star
Leon very good will get better
George fair performance but like someone has siad needs to learn about manners in theatre
James average but you still enjoy his performance
Regards a previous debate there is something disturbing about the posts about little boys.
The big question is can the show go on without liam,he carryed george and james but can leon?
Not much sign of dyslexia there. Another lie to add to the collection ?

I see, thanks for the info, BI!
I thought that LM and MF the same person from a long time ago, and always try to support each other.
I am not very sure of his age though!

Hi,
I went to see Billy Elliot yesterday matinee. The show was brilliant. James was absolutely amazing. He put so much energy and passion into his performance, he's such a good actor. His voice is deeper now but he holds it very very well!
I was also very impressed by Brad's performance yesterday. I saw him before once and didn't really know what to think, but yesterday he was fantastic.
Anyway, it was great to see James back on stage. Good luck for your future. I'm sure we'll see you again somewhere sometime :)

I dance at a school at home , and I sweat after two minutes ! I couldn't even try to do it for that long ! Updated On: 10/30/05 at 05:43 AM

Well , I always said ,
'for one strenuous ballet leap there is another strenuous backflip .
For one pitchperfect singer there is another pitchperfect choir .
For one greatly acted emotion there is another .'
What I mean is , that they all may not do the same dance , but they do , put in the same amount of effort

As the spice girls said ;
'move it , make it , lose it , break it , who do you think you are ?'

well said 'cucumber!' The whole cast must work so hard and the audience can tell this when they pull off yet another amazing performance. Reading all these reviews makes me want to see the show again! I can't wait until december when i've next got tickets!!! :P

Just got caught up with a week's worth of posts - thanks to everyone for the news, reviews and pics.
But why does everyone let a small minority ruin this board for everyone.
There's a simple answer - if someone posts something provocative, just ignore it - replying to it merely fuels the fire.
Better still, block their posts from your list - it couldn't be easiier - go to Your Settings in the Site menu on the left side, then click the "Ignore Board Users" in the Message Board settings. If someone is PMing you and becomes an annoyance, you can block them there too.
Lastly, best of all, go over to Lin's board - simply PM her for details - her board is moderated by Billy Fans!
I'm now heading over there to catch up, and on a permanent basis.

Posted: 10/30/05 at 6:42amGeorge Maguire's leaving? Surely his voice hasn't broken already? (even that didn't stop James Lomas from performing). I thought that he'd be in the show for longer than another few months.

Hi All,
Well it seems as if James did a fantastic job playing Billy (as always) stepping into the show in Liam's absence. Well done to you. If only you could do it for a little longer

Here is something recently posted by MF and I quote "the illeagle pics"
Now here is something recently posted by LM and I quote " the leagl system "...curious mispelling of Legal. Although I did notice that LM spelt it right to begin with....maybe he forgot which personality he was when he finished his post!....

Maybe everyone could stop talking about MF and LM and photos, and ages, and spelling...and talk about BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL.
Whenever the topic actually steers onto an interesting subject about the musical, someone has to mention them again...and start an argument! Lets talk about the SHOW...
Anyone agree?

I always enjoy coming on here and catching up though I have only now joined properly. I agree completely with previous posts discouraging provocative comment but it is nice for people to share their preferences where it is done in a constructive way. We are after all human and will have favourites. People who we buy into slightly more than others. Many people on here wear their preferences on their sleeves employing their faves in a profile. There's nothing wrong with that either - part of excitment is being able to share the experience with others.
I sometimes wonder whether posters preferences are based alot on who they first see in the role. Though I have now seen the show about 15 times I was lucky to catch Liam first and his performance sticks with me as sheer perfection and very difficult to follow. I have never seen the show and not enjoyed it regardless of who heads the cast. The level of talent onstage is never short of exceptional and that spreads thoughout the cast from all the Billys to the glorious supporting cast.
