We're coming to see hows in November. With the increase in ticket prices and fees, we're opting for seats further back from the stage. Does anyone know if it is an issue to bring binoculars to the theatres? Thanks.

I don't know if any theatres have a "binoculars policy".  I used to take a pair of opera glasses with me to the theatre.  But some years ago at intermission at a show, the couple sitting behind me very politely told me that when I raised my arms to look through the glasses, it partially blocked their view.  So, I've never used them again.

I personally would not use binoculars in a theatre, as I cannot imagine how they could not impinge on others' views. If you opt for opera glasses, please be discreet and midful, and keep arm(s) holding them close to your body. As as HG mentioned, don't be surprised if someone asks you not to use them.

There is no prohibition on using binoculars. I'm not exactly sure how they would impede someone else's view.
