Really looking forward to this - just the billing alone - a Dance Thriller - has me more than intrigued. Plus Dave Malloy.
Looks like from IG there was a preview or dress last night. Anyone go? So curious - have a ticket regardless. I love me some ART.
If anyone has been, I would imagine seats in the middle might make the most sense since it's so dance heavy but curious. and...big question- runtime.

I'm seeing it on Sunday, but people are already saying good things about it on Reddit. Someone also stated that the house manager told them act 1 is an hour and 10 and act 2 is 50 minutes.

The show was really well done. I wasn't sure what to expect - a Dance Thriller? I had seen the film when it came out and remember thinking how bonkers it all was - and of course Natalie Portman's performance. I have never witnessed such phenomenal dancing on stage - lean, precise, tight, sexy. There are a few numbers in Act One that have that magic - great music, acting, stagecraft and direction. Act Two I think needs some tightening up for sure - but fully enjoyable. Taylor Iman is a force - what talent. And Melaine Moore who plays Nina is doing exceptional star making Tony Level acting, dancing and singing on that stage. A shoo-in for Best Actress if this were to find a life on Broadway which I truly hope it does. Lean into the trippy use of sound design, Electronic Beats for an even more visual stunning evening.
Excellent stagecraft and direction. Get thee to the American Repertory Theater between now and they have extended until July 12

Just got out of the evening show, and I thought it was astounding. It’s not often something comes along that surprises me with its level of craftsmanship the way that this did. Everyone involved is firing at all cylinders, and I haven’t heard such an immediate and wildly enthusiastic ovation in quite a while.
