Blake Hammond will reprise his role as Edna Turnblad this August 8-12 at the Music Theatre of Wichita.

Great to see. Blake Hammond is a wonderful performer, and a stand-out Edna. Truly, one of my favorites. I would love to catch this.

I was fortunate enough to see Blake's first and last performance as Edna on Broadway. If I can find a way to be there...

I am also excited to see that Greg Graham is at the helm. He was the show's original dance captain and Jerry's assistant.

It looks like this production will not replicate the broadway staging/look? Hopefully we will get pics!

Nope. It's an entirely new creative team doing an entirely new production. MTW is usually good about posting pics.

If you look at the "2007 summer ensemble" page, you can find pics of the ensemble, of course.

I can't remember the URL for the life of me, but scene designer J Branson has a website. It said that images of the sketches were coming soon.

I'd love to catch this as well! I actually know a friend of a friend who is playing Tracy in another regional production about 2 hours away this summer, and I'm excited to see how they'll end up staging the show, since I'm so used to the original staging.

I saw Blake as Edna when the tour stopped in Louisville, KY. He was great.

Yes, that poster is slightly disturbing, and, to me, looks like something a high schooll sophomore in basic computer class slopped together on photoshop. Then again, Im never too fond of MTWs logo usage.
