Any word on how Angela's appearances have been lately at the stage door? I went on Friday and she sent out signed Playbills. I would really like to meet her, so I may try tonight since it is an early show. Thanks! :0)

Not a lot of stage door action with her....anymore, before the TONYS she came out often. I am sure the last performance she'll come out.

Yeah she didn't come out last night. Show is very funny. Actually on Deborah Rush came out. Going to try after the final show. Was kind of bummed out. I did meet Rupert beforehand though while waiting to get in.

Has Jayne ever come out? She's the only one who I couldn't get to sign my poster. I was sitting outside my apartment yesterday reading and she walked by. I was tempted to ask her to come in quickly and sign it. lol

I think I remember reading in another post that she came out once. Maybe they will all come out on Sunday! LOL about asking her to come in to sign.

Jayne came out when I saw it on a Sunday. She was very gracious and she actually suggested to take a picture with me.

^ That's so sweet. I just love her. I wish just once (of the seven or eight times I stagedoored) she'd come out. After Angela, she was the best thing about this show.

Has anyone observed any actors from this show at all leaving the theatre/stagedooring between matinees and evening shows on Saturdays?

I am thinking of coming and stagedooring with my poster between the Saturday shows this weekend in the hopes that some of the cast who I do not have autographs on my poster from come out.

So far I have Rupert, Deborah Rush and Susan Louise O'Conner. I narrowly missed Simon Jones darting out recently - he is quick and probably assumes no one cares for his autograph, which couldn't be further from the truth. Have never seen Christine or Jayne leave the stage door.

Would it be a wasted effort for any who know? I have never done the show on a two-show day. I am seeing the final show on Sunday, but who knows what the stage door will be like then?

If any BLITHE SPIRIT fans are looking for a ticket for tonight's show (Friday), I have one that's cheap and amazing for pickup in the near future in Manhattan. Mom's sick again & can't attend. matthewrettenmund@gmail.com

^ Mom sick and couldn't attend? Same thing happened to me today, in a matter of speaking.

I took a video of Angela's final stage door exit. It's a little shakey but I think I did a good job. :)

We saw the Thursday performance ... and happen to be old friends of Jayne's, so we went backstage to meet her, and she actually arranged for us to meet Angela Lansbury ... what a thrill!

We really enjoyed the show, despite Christine Ebersole's very strange Edie-like performance ... what in the world was she doing? Certainly not Noel Coward.

Jayne took us out through the Alley door, which leads onto 44th Street ... apparently a lot of the cast used that alternate exit.

It was an honor to meet Angela Lansbury last night. She is a class act. Would have liked to meet Jayne as well, but from what I have heard she rarely came out the stage door. Last night only Angela/Deborah came out the stage door. The others all went out the alley. Christine Ebersole was still packing up her things and was nice enough to sign my Playbill for me when I happened to run into on the way back to my car. So, the only one I didn't mean was Jayne. Didn't care about Simon one way or the other. Plus Deborah was drawing faces on his photo, so that would have been an akward encounter HAHA.

I almost got hit by Angela Lansbury's car yesterday haha. I was walking in Schubert alley and all of a sudden I see a car coming toward me. Then I looked in the car and it was her.

By the way, did you notice that the photos on the BWW newsfeed are completely different from her actual final exit from the theatre? Clearly, she is leaving Sardi's in these photos. I guess technically it may be "after" playing the show, but not immediately. The similarities are her, her vehicle and the sycophantic blonde driver.

Good for her, if I were rich and famous, I'd have a cute young driver as well re: Blithe Spirit Stage Door

Does anyone have a photo of her waving and applauding the crowd as she came out yesterday? I was too busy applauding to snap a picture.
