No idea...but since it's from the same folks as Hair, perhaps the box seats. But since the BO isn't even open yet, it's unlikely anyone would know yet.
HOWEVER: What is with this new trend of being dark on WEDS??? And they have a 7pm curtain except for Fri and Sat nights? They are going to have an awful lot of annoyed folks that show up at 8 and the show is nearly over!!

I think it has to do with the audience base they're expecting to have. They won't be getting a big Wednesday matinee crowd, so it makes more sense to eliminate that matinee and add a second performance on Sunday. As for the earlier curtain time, that might also be for older teens who might be coming to the show alone but can't be going home as late as 11 PM. Or something.

Posted: 8/9/10 at 1:46pmI remember Finian's Rainbow had a 7 pm curtain time except for Friday and Saturday nights, which I found sort of odd but also convenient...I went on a Thursday once and was home by 10:15.

The producers know what they are doing in setting a production schedule. And I APPLAUD breaking from the norm and setting something NEW.
Besides, if you're are making a big purchase such as theatre tickets, you should KNOW what day it is and what time the show starts. ESPECIALLY on Broadway where it's an EVENT.
I cannot tell you how often I see people arrive to shows late or even on the wrong day. I understand situations beyond your control making you late, but if you're late out of laziness or stupidity...there is no excuse.

Exactly. I don't understand how just because 8 p.m. is the standard time for a show to begin means that people just show up then. You should always, always, always double-check the time on your ticket.

Posted: 8/9/10 at 2:19pmWhether it starts at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m., it's only a 90-minute show without an intermission, so no one's goin' home very late.

Posted: 8/9/10 at 2:21pmSuch great news! I am all for the trend of having a performance on Sunday night, because college friends and I all make weekend trips into the city, and try to see two shows on Sunday. Options are so limited that we've all seen MAMMA MIA and NEXT TO NORMAL more times than we'd care to count. Definitely a smart move for the age demographic of this show.

Sure...they SHOULD, but many won't!
Personally, I don't care about either issue --- I was just suprised by it.
Walking out of the theater at 8:30 will seem a bit odd though.

Walk out at 8:30 and you can arrive 15 minutes late to a show with an 8pm curtain.

I think most people understand when the curtain time is -- if you buy your tickets on telecharge - you clearly see the time when you select the seats and when you buy at the box office they routinely confirm the time when they hand over the physical tickets.
I can't remember ever seeing a show that started at 7:00 that had a major entrance of late commers at 7:45 or 8:00
