Tony and Emmy winner Blythe Danner is joined by Scott Foley, Eric Lange, David Rasche, Emily Swallow and Sarah Steele for the world premiere of Donald Margulies’s The Country House. It's a co-production with the Manhattan Theatre Club, which will present the play in the fall at its Broadway venue, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
Previews begin September 9 for an October 2 opening night.

Looking forward to seeing this in LA. If I'm not mistaken, this same trajectory was used with Donald Margulies TiME STANDS STILL where it debuted at The Geffen and then transferred to Broadway.
Great cast

Great show and incredibly acted with exquisite set design. Blythe Danner gives a great nuanced performance - not an incredibly showy role but she was excellent as was the entire cast.
The second act went in a bit of a different direction than what I was expecting. Don't know if it was entirely cohesive.
But I enjoyed the show and it's worth seeing...I think that Marguilles will work on the script a bit to tightened it up

It's scheduled to premiere in the fall on the same night as GREY'S ANATOMY and the Viola Davis-led HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, so I don't think it'll start late enough for Foley to get a break. I'm still wondering about the Broadway cast for this one.
