Say what you will about the show, but the cast recording is one of the most fun to listen to. All I need is a water fountain to "Shakalaka" in, and it would be complete. Bombay Dreams

It is, and the show wasn't that bad either. It was fun, and the dancing was terrific. What cast did you see in the show Spider?

I actually saw the show in London in it's original form and I actually really liked it. It was the same cast that closed the show over there (I saw it in it's last week). The plot was kind of a throwaway, but I had a lot of fun and the dancing was INCREDIBLE. I would honestly pay to see it again if it was still running.

The National Tour performed not too far from you, I think. It played in Charlotte, that's where you're from, right?

I live about 3 hours away from Charlotte. re: Bombay Dreams I really wish I could have seen it, but I didn't have enough money to pay for tickets. re: Bombay Dreams

Haha, they had tickets from like $ 20! LOL

Well, at least you got to see it in London.

$20, really? Crap, if I knew that I would have went. haha.

Yeah, I am glad I saw it in London. I heard that they changed a lot of it when it moved to Broadway, and just by some of the pictures, I could tell that things were different with the set and such. Also, England has a high Indian population and when I went, the theatre was filled with men and women of of Indian descent and it was great to see their reactions to what was going on, on the stage.

The "Salaam Bombay" DVD that the Really Useful Group put out is great. It has alot of behind-the-scenes "making of" stuff and features performances of "The Journey Home" "Shakalaka Baby" "Chaiyya Chiayya" and "How Many Stars" from the original London cast on stage, plus music videos. Wish they would release the whole show on DVD.
