So I go to see the new movie Inside Man tonight, the movie starts, and a song begins playing that I swear is from Bombay Dreams. I wait through the credits and, sure enough, it's "Chaiyya Chaiyya" by A. R. Rahman. It was used for the final credits as well, with a rap vocal added. I know Rahman has written music for countless Bollywood films, but it was pretty interesting that the film makers chose this song. I wonder if Spike Lee saw Bombay Dreams on Broadway....?
I have to download this song!

I just noticed that Denzel rhymes with Menzel.
How nifty.
On NPR this morning, Kenneth Turan mentioned that Spike Lee (the director) showed his genius for choosing this movie's opening music.
BTW, it's a very good movie. Go see. Denzel is great. Christopher Plummer is always reliable--is there any actor Plummer's age that gets as much work as he does??
is Jodie Foster in this movie as well?
I know this is a total off-topic response, but why does Clive Owen have billing above Jodie Foster? I know he's somewhat "hot" right now, but she's a two-time Academy Award winner, who's last couple of movies(that she's headlined) have done well at the box office. I just don't get it. Everytime I see the ad for the movie, I want to have this rant. Thank you.
I just got back from the movie. VERY GOOD. Clive Owen has a huge part compared to Jodie Foster. She's only in maybe 5 scenes and her character just isn't as large as Owen's. You should all go see this movie. Star-studded cast that all performed wonderfully. GREAT plot.
"is there any actor Plummer's age that gets as much work as he does??"
Christoper Lee??
But yea, Plummer is in just about everything these days.
Teehee. Plummer is getting so...old.
Damn it. You have to buy the whole album to get that one song...
