Bon Voyage! 'La Cage' Leaves London Jan 2nd

Posted: 11/11/09 at 11:51am

The producers of 'La Cage Aux Folles' have now officially announced the final curtain of the London run.
The last performance is Jan 2nd 2010.
An incredibly successful season at the Menier Chocolate Factory and now currently at the Playhouse has ran more than twice as long its original London Palladium run back in 1985.
Although the 2010 tour has been put on hold for now, the producers have stated that they do hope the show will return to a London theatre in the future,
Broadway here it comes!

It's had a fantastic run and it will hopefully have success on Broadway, must be one of the longest runs at the Playhouse and a Menier show.

Speaking if the Menier, Sweet Chairty starts next week and I'm interested to see how they tackle it.

Bon Voyage la cage!

I'm sad I wont make it down for a post-Barrowman performance, but glad the show will go out on a high. Perhaps a trip to NY is in order to catch it again.

A fabulous production, glad it's done well in the WE

Maybe I'm on nobody's side http://phdconfessions.blogspot.com/
