Shame, i think this is a pretty good show
The show hasn't even started yet, and Wildhorn's track record is horrendous, especially with recent audiences who are only familiar with WONDERLAND. Also - who knows how this show will end up on Broadway; I'm optimistic, but who really knows!
I really hope this turns out to be a good show. I love the audios and demos I have heard. If the show does not mess around too much with the book and score I could see this actually doing fairly well and having good word of mouth. It also helps that this is going to be in a smaller theatre.
^ I'm curious about that as well!
It is playing at the old Plymouth where it all started with J/H
Unfortunately, no cast album before like Wonderland
I really, really want to know who pays for these Wildhorn shows...
I'm seeing the first preview! So excited. I bought the tickets through TDF so I figured no big loss even if it's a trainwreck. Plus I really want Wildhorn to succeed and from everything I've seen/heard this looks like it might be that show.
I'll let everyone know on November 4th. :)
Sorry to hijack the thread but I've never been to a first preview before. Is the dress code anything like it is opening night? (ie. Do I need to get "dressed up" at all?)
Thanks!

No first previews aren't anything at all like opening night...it's a regular show and one that could potentially have the most mistakes.
Haha I'm well-aware about the potential for "mistakes" but I think that's part of the entire process and won't have any issues with it. If the show's a complete mess during the first preview, there's nothing that is going to make it brilliant theatre by opening night. If it's brilliant during the first preview, I'll be able to look past line flubs and other errors (which I've noticed in just about every show I've ever seen or been a part of, regardless of how long it's been running).
Thanks for the info. about dress though, that's what I thought. I was just confirming.
In case anyone was wondering - just got my tickets in the mail for the first preview. The tickets are aisle seats row n right orchestra. Pretty happy about that! :)

Thanks for the ticket update. I have TDF seats for the second preview, but they have not arrived. I am cautiously optimistic.
Good luck! Let us know where your seats are. If they're in the same area, that's likely the TDF section. I know some shows have sections that are generally sold to TDF while others have TDF tickets dispersed around the theatre. We shall see...
I have had anticipation to see new shows early also (never a Wildhorn show, each time they come along, someone always says "this one is gonna be diffrent, but they never are, and this one don't seem no different).
But these days the first or more previews are cancelled and then people bitch cause they have to exchange their tkts.
This show doesn't look complicated technically but still...

Have had good luck with TDF lately. Had 402-408A Orch. for Godspell. Ended up being front row $199 premiums.

Got mine today for the Sunday matinee on November 6th- orchestra row L, seats 17 and 19.
I got tickets for Nov 6th at 2pm. I look forward to seeing Tad Wilson from Priscilla.
Just cause it's on TDF doesn't mean it is in trouble.
They are just opening and building an audience.
I bought a Book of Mormon Ticket on here before it opened.
