How do they open the show??? I heard there was a lot of blood and death involved... Just wondering if someone could give me some insight.

*SPOILERS*

The show begins with a projection showing a first-person view driving down a country road. An instrumental version of "How 'Bout A Dance" is playing. As an audience member you're lulled into a sense of peacefulness.

This lasts maybe 20-30 seconds before the music and projection are abruptly cut off by the loud noise of automatic guns and strobe lights going off. As this is happening, the middle wood panel onstage goes up, and Bonnie & Clyde's car comes forward through a thick cloud of smoke, and they're sitting in the car embracing each other, with their eyes closed, and blood all over themselves. (I'm not sure if they're INCREDIBLY lifelike dummies, or actually Jeremy and Laura).

Right about then, Young Bonnie steps out from the left panel and starts singing "Picture Show."

It's them - Tad Wilson did this Twitter q&a about the show a couple of weeks ago, and one of the questions he answered was about their opening scene blood removal process:

I think it's quite a clever opening.
Then again, I thought it was quite a good show in so many ways.

This dies while Venus in Fur and Sister Act Live.

Where is Dionysus when you need him?
And when weil the Times get rid of Ben Brantley?

The Times will rid themselves of Ben Brantley after the Post fires Riedel. They both serve the same purpose... to cater to those who wish to read the two of them trash whatever they feel like whenever they feel like it.
