Okay, thanks for the help everyone on the SWEENEY tickets- I'll go with the popular opinion of Row F!
:)
Now I can see 1 more show. I have been checking tickets, and couldn't get either COLOR PURPLE or JERSEY BOYS sadly Booking Broadway tickets (some more questions)
But here are my other options:

BRIDGE AND TUNNEL
THE PRODUCERS
THE WEDDING SINGER
SPAMALOT
HAIRSPRAY (already seen it though)

Which would you guys reccomend, and what ages are each of these shows appropriate for.
Sorry for all the questions, and thank you!

:)

Sweeney has a pretty tall stage, so you might be straining your necks a bit looking up. I've also heard that the first couple of rows are within spitting range.

You might want to go with Row F. I sat further back in the orchestra and was still very happy with my seats, so row F should be fine.

Have fun!

I'd go with Row F as well. Regardless, you'll LOVE the show re: Booking Broadway tickets (SWEENEY help)

I agree - Row F will cause less strain on your neck (and you'll avoid the spitting). I've sat in both BB and F, and I much prefer F personally.

I'd definitely reccomend Wedding Singer. It's such a fun show!

BRIDGE AND TUNNEL - I haven't seen, but I've heard it's good
THE PRODUCERS - Funny show, kids too young might not understand it as well.
THE WEDDING SINGER - I didn't care for it, but it's good for kids. Although some of the 80's references might be lost on them.
SPAMALOT - very funny
HAIRSPRAY (already seen it though) - If you haven't seen the others, I'd skip this and go for a new show.

My pick would be Spamalot.

I was in the city a couple weeks ago. We went to the TKTS on a Monday at 3pm and they had tickets for The Color Purple half-price. If you really have your heart set on that show, you might try that.

Out of the ones you mentioned, I'd go with Spamalot too. If you want to be daring but economical, see what you can get at the TKTS. We had tickets to see Wicked, but ended up going and seeing RENT and Altar Boyz, both at half price. I'd highly recommend Altar Boyz if you are in to comedy. With the TKTS, you don't know what shows are going to be available, but it can be well worth your wait. :)

Of the ones you mentioned, I would definitley recommend The Wedding Singer. The Color Purple was on TKTS last week, but I highly doubt they will be up there during the summer.

Are you a student? Because COlor Purple does student rush. Also, You may just want to leave the second show up to chance. It's fun to go see what's on the boardsand hear in-person recommendations at TKTS. Or stand in line and do rush. It's all quite a thrill. ANd fate may just lead you to an unexpected delight. I never would have seen "Taboo" if it weren't for an in-person recommendation and I loved it.

As for the shows you listed, I think Bridge and Tunnel is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a genius. If you knowthe movie of Holy Grail, you should skip Spamalot. It just spits out the same lines and has poor music. It doesn't have much that is new and fresh.

The Color Purple has General Rush, so you can do it even if you aren't a student. I would highly recommend that you do it. If you do decide to though, go early. And i mean VERY early. I went this past Saturday and got there at 7:50AM for tickets that go onsale at 10AM and there were already 23 people ahead of me. The first woman in line had gotten there at 5:45AM. Luckily, i got tickets. You have to be determined and patient but it's definitely worth it!

I would suggest "Spring Awakening" if you can get a ticket. I saw it last Wed. and loved it. Great music.
