Does anyone know how much a theater pays to book a major equity tour like Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and the like? Just curious.

Don't know actually $$$ figures but costs are determined by the venue and its highest possible gross.
ie. How many seats there are X number of performances X highest attendance level.
Things change too if the touring show is part of a subscription season.

Most shows get about 325K-375K, except for wicked, lion king and POTO which usuall rent the venue and keep about 90% of ticket sales.
