I was looking into getting tickets for War Paint this summer and had questions about seating. The back half of the boxes are labeled Partial View. Exactly how obstrcted are those seats? The theater doesn't look very large to begin with, so are there other seats you might also recommend? Also, are there any discounts out for this show, and is any kind of student rush expected?

Those are fine. There's really not a bad seat in that house. I was in the very back row for a Christmas carol one year and I saw everything perfectly.

I wouldn't sit in the boxes if you can avoid it. While it's true that those seats are often fine, sometimes the set makes the view pretty terrible. Since the set is an unknown, the viability of those seats is also.

As Jorge said, the mezzanine is a very clear view so that would probably be a better choice until we know what the set looks like.

Student tickets are 10$ the day of the show for seats available in the Mezz and partial view boxes. Info can be found here. https://www.goodmantheatre.org/Tickets/Special-Discounts/

As far as I know, there have been no other offers of discounts.

Imagine this perspective in reverse. If your seat is not visible to the actors from the stage, how far forward will you need to lean in order to see the actors?
