Brantley's list doesn't include the magnificent production of OUR TOWN, but it does include that bloated horror THE NORMAN CONQUESTS and that snoozefest MARY STUART.

Did he not see OUR TOWN? Or did the check not clear?

They typically, though not always, each only include the ones they review regardless of whether or not they saw the other ones. Isherwood randomly hopped on The Emperor Jones train since he also did Othello.

Im so happy Brief Encounter is on there. I have not seen any threads about this show on the Broadway board. If you have not all ready seen it i suggest you do. I watched it here in the UK and its simply jaw dropping.
