Breakfast With The Arts - 10/2

BROADWAY ON BROADWAY:
For the past thirteen years the Broadway community has come together each fall to give over 50,000 New Yorkers a look at what makes live theatre so vibrant and exciting. Whether it’s a sample of a song from a current hit or a preview of a musical about to open, “Broadway on Broadway” gives a jolt of adrenaline to the theatre season. John Lithgow and Christina Applegate are joined by performers from Broadway’s best musicals.

Per their website, it looks like just a small bit will be devoted to it:

Johnny Cash & the Band/Broadway on Broadway.
Airs on Sunday, October 2 at 8:00am ET

A Tenth anniversary edition of The Highwaymen's The Road Goes on Forever, re-mastered with unreleased bonus tracks has now hit stores. We are pleased to present a preview of this fascinating and poignant look back at Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson - The Highwaymen. Also featured today: John Lithgow and Christina Applegate are joined by performers from Broadway's best musicals; director Norman Jewison; country singer/songwriter and Grammy-Winner Jon Randall; author David Sedaris; Reggaeton musician Boy Wonder; and a visit to the studio of Kevin Scanlan for a look at the ancient art of glassblowing. Karina Huber hosts.

Any mention of glassblowing in relation to Broadway cracks me up because I remember turning up PBS in San Francisco to watch the Tony pre-show a few years back, and instead they showed a documentary on glassblowing! It was one of those "What the..." moments.
"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

I will have to set my recorder. It comes on at 6:00am here. No way I will be up to watch it!

re: Breakfast With The Arts - 10/2

I was just about to post this! I'm glad I looked first...

I hope it's a longer segment than Piazza was on this show. I watched it, and it was nice to see Victoria & Kelli, but it was honestly not much of a segment. I got up at 7:45 to watch and record the show, and it didn't even play till later on.

Oh well, I hope it's a good segment!

They didn't say definetly. Just that there will be sit downs in some of the cast's home towns and they might want to go do that town.
