Posted: 1/11/13 at 9:10pmPapermill perhaps? They had such great success with them with Newsies! Or maybe a pre- national tour. Last year our local presenters here in Portland, Or did a survey to patrons about future offerings. Aladdin was one of shows listed in the survey.

Posted: 1/11/13 at 9:28pmIf it's going to be big scale, it'll unlikely be somewhere like Papermill, They used Seattle for the pilot production but I doubt they'll use the same theatre or city twice, maybe San Francisco, Chicago or Los Angeles.

'I just don't see the need to close it March 3 and leave the theater empty for about a year. Hoping ticket demand increases and we see a nice extension.'
I would of thought the producers would of held on until Labor Day, but theatre renovations do take a long time and the nature of the story of Aladdin, will mean the show is quite technical with flying, so Disney would want to be in the theatre quite early to test these out and would need a extensive rehearsal period like Spiderman did.
