Brian's own cariacture at Sardi's will be revealed this Thursday September 10. I defientley thinks he deserves this. He's one of the best stage actors of this age.

I wish they were actually caricatures, because BDJ has the perfect face for one. And I mean that in the nicest possible way, because he's a really handsome guy who happens to have very prominent eyebrows.

He also seems like such a nice guy.
Hoorah! I was hoping this would happen. Too bad they're not very good caricatures, though...
If they did an actual caricature this time, how much do you want to bet that his eyebrows would take up half the page?
I'm really happy for him. He is such a talented actor, and, in my opinion, his talents are being slightly wasted in Shrek. Yes, its a cute show, but he has so much more to offer that farts and a Scottish accent. I really enjoyed his performance in "The Wild Party" (from the videos I've seen), but I can understand why he did Shrek: its a very commercial show, meaning it pays the bills.
All in all, he is very talented and I'm excited to see more of his work.
And Shrek may seem pedestrian, but it's NOT an easy role to play. He nailed that accent and all of the songs, and managing to emote and pulling off playing this relateable character through all of those prosthetics takes a talented actor. He made me like Shrek a lot more than the films did, and I've been a huge fan of the Shrek films since they first came out.

What the hell is that? Some kind of CGI rotoscope?
That's adorable! But it's not really a caricature... more of a slightly cartoonish portrait.
none of the recent Sardi's caricatures are actual caricatures, Schmerg.

Is that Brian D'Arcy James or Adam Carolla?
I think it's cute, even though they sort of gave him a Leno chin.
At least the blue streaks in his hair look better than they do in Sutton's portrait.

in addition to Shrek being commercial, doesn't Brian D'arcy James have a little girl? I remember seeing a small child with him at the closing of apple tree. I'm sure she would enjoy daddy being in Shrek :)
'bout time he had a cariacture!

Why'd they give him Jay Leno's chin?
BDJ's twitter response: "Impressed with the considerable eye brow restraint showed in my Sardi's caricature. They could have gone full Sasquatch."
(And yes, he corrected himself with the use of "showed")
