Being pretty unfamiliar with the show itself, I think it SOUNDS amazing. It's hard to figure out a few of the important plot lines out of context, but I really like it a lot. Gavin Creel in "Brother 2"? ACK! I'm so excited to have it.
AAAH!!! are you in NYC? *runs off to mailroom*

The CD is great, from the original show a lot of characters and songs have been cut so the show is a lot tighter. There is a much stronger 80's feel to the CD than there was in the show but then thats the point. The CD and the show is gonna be BIG. watch this space...

http://www.paulscottgoodman.com/ says the official release date for the "Bright Lights, Big City" CD is June 21st. I guess it's good that folks can pre-order from that site.
On a sad note, if there IS a Launch Party I imagine Patrick won't be there. He has other plans for June...(http://dominczyk.webpark.pl/i.html)

everyone should defently recieve it by Saturday...
Wondering when broadworld.coms review will be up?
heres what broadway.com has to say
"Even with this considerable star power, the real stand out of the recording is Goodman himself, who captures the sounds of life in the city with a catchy beat and sometimes sweet and sometimes shocking (this is the first Sh-K-Boom release to earn a parental advisory label) lyrics. In fact stand out tracks like "Brother", "So Many Little Things", "Kindness", "Heart and Soul", and "Stay In My life", are some of the best rock-based theater songs to emerge from today's young breed of composers. Will this musical find its way to the Broadway stage after all? Or is the proposed film version a better route? One thing is sure: The future is bright for Bright Lights, Big City." (BROADWAY.COM)

I haven't had a chance to even order it yet as I didn't have a credit card.
I am just poor, that is why I haven't ordered it. But, I will as soon as I get enough money.

RentLondon, could you link to that review? I just spent 15 minutes on Broadway.com and can't find it to save my soul. Even the search function came up empty. God, I hate that site. It's so user unfriendly.

I just listened to last few tunes:
"Are you still holding my hand?
"Brother #3"
"Stay in My life"
"Wordfall"
O MI GOSH
They all sound amazing and Patrick is in FABULOUS form.
Omigosh! His voice is so wonderful here as Jamie and on my POTO CD as Raoul. How versatile can this guy be!
Now to go to a dull dull meeting
