Posted: 9/3/05 at 10:12pmAny news on whether this is coming to Broadway anytime soon? I just got the CD a week ago and am absolutely loving it. Patrick Wilson, Jesse L. Martin, Gavin Creel, and Ann Marie Milazzo have some of the best voices in the world!

I would LOVE for it too, but it was such a flop the first time around I think it would be rough going.
The book needs major reworking.
Patrick would HAVE to play Jamie or I would boycott bigtime.
where's my shoe?

Don't hate me if this is a terrible idea, but does anyone else think that Patrick Wilson would make a good Jamie in L5Y? I never really considered him for the part, but I was listening to BLBC and the idea just struck me. Something he sang sounded similar to L5Y and it made me wonder if that casting would work.

Posted: 9/4/05 at 4:14amI agree with you, shoe. Patrick would be a perfect Jamie in L5Y. Just listen to him on the Full Monty CD and you'll hear why. He has a great pop-rock voice that could easily pull off Jamie in l5Y. In fact, he could do other Norbert Leo Butz roles. He has the voice and comedic timing for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (we know he excells with David Yazbeck stuff anyway), and I bet he'd make a great Fieryo as well. He's got the charm and voice for all of those roles, and Angels in America proved he can really act as well, something that would be a big necessity for Jamie in L5Y.
