Bright Star or Something Rotten

Sadly I had a plan to see Something Rotten at the ahmason. But plans fell through I am now left with two choices. Bright Star at the Ahmason with seats in the last row or two of the theatre, or Something Rotten at segerstorm with seats in the lodge. I was wondering which is my better option, they are both around the same price money wise. I apolgize for making a new thread but it wont let me post a comment on the old one. Thanks in advance!

Apples and Oranges. The two shows have little in common.

I, personally, preferred Bright Star -- and yes, Carmen Cusack is devine. However, if you are more into comedies and a bit of silliness - See Something Rotten. Both are flawed, but are both enjoyable.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I hands down prefer Something Rotten as a show, but I'd recommend Bright Star because Carmen Cusack is amazing and what can compare. I would pay to listen / watch her sing the phone book.

Thank you guys for all the responses! I decided on missing out on something rotten and attending bright star! I think Something Rotten would be a funny show but i just cant miss Carmen's performance and I love the score, which I just started getting into. Once again, Thank you!

Saw Something Rotten tonight at segerstorm with seats in the Lodge. Hands down one of my favorite productions the seats were great and the cast was exceptionaly good. I recommend this show to anyone who is iffy on seeing it. 11/10
