I'm happy to see Ragtime is playing in July. Jarico and I will be able to see it! This will definitely make his day.

I would LOVE to see this come back! This score and book is incredible; nearly flawless it seems. My dream cast:
Mother: Julia Murney
Father: Brent Barrett
Tateh: Antonio Banderas? I actually think he'd be quite good.
Mother's Younger Brother: Michael Arden
Coalhouse: Can Brian Stokes MItchell come back?
Sarah: Audra would still be ideal, but....
Anika Noni ROse?
Heather Headley could do it, also
Emma Goldman: Anne L. Nathan

The original Ragtime (not the London/Papermill version) should be considered by the NYC Opera for a limited run. If it does well, move it back to Bway. The original production was closed due to a combination of the Livent scandal and not enough ticket sales to make up for that scandal.

Good news for you, Popular, if you live close enough to head over to Long Beach. The excellent Musical Theater West's production runs from February 19 through March 6.

WOW, thanks for the info! It's not too far of a drive...
I actually know David Jennings (not personally, but know of him through my friend who u/s'd Sarah on the tour) I'll have to let her know he's Coalhouse now!
And another former castmate of hers, Ivy Fox, is in Chicago here, what a small world.
Edit: I think he WAS Coalhouse on her tour now that I think about it.
