I admire all the great things they are doing over there, including supporting their arts workers. The total silence on Broadway and the lack of support for their employees is sad and infuriating.

I had seen quite a number of shows at the West End back then...and do recognize some of the theatres in this video. It was where I discovered two favorite performers - Michael Ball singing in Aspects of Love at the Prince of Wales Theatre and an unknown performer at the Lyric Theatre (Covent Garden) playing the role of Curly in the RoyalNationalTheatre revival of a Rodgers & Hammerstein classic ( I went to see it because I am a great fan of their works). That lead had a powerful voice and a commanding stage presence and Trevor Nunn cast him in the revival,
Hugh Jackman was discovered by Hollywood thru British theatre, where he played Curly in the RNT revival of Oklahoma!. He was seen by XMen producer LSDonner...and the rest is history. And in a strange coincidence -- here he is singing "From Now On... We will come back home...home again" ( from The Greatest Showman) in this campaign to save British theatre!
