Hey everyone-I'm new here. My name is Parks. I just read an interview between some magazine and Britney Spears and it said she has seen Wicked. It was kinda cool to read that.. I REALLY want to see Wicked!!
Will the website continue?
Britney: Yes, and instead of my mom doing it weekly, I will do it weekly. It really states where I am at in my life right now. It is making closure with a lot of things and I think this is my ultimate truth. I owe it to my fans, they need to read it. It will explain any questions they have ever had, it will explain everything. I was hesitant at first. I saw a play in NY called 'Wicked' - it really inspired me to write it. It was the most amazing
play. It was life changing for me.
(Thanks to World of Britney)
Welcome! Just for future notice... theres a long thread on this. do a search on it, if you want to read more about it.

I did.. I saw some people talking about how they wanted her to take Kristin's spot or something.. sorry.
*EDIT* Kristen/in's spot-at the time. I understand she left the show.
lol.. no no, that was most likely a joke.
So? Why dedicate a post to it? Celebrities see shows all the time; it's nothing new.

Britney Spears likes Wicked?
That means I don't.
Anything SHE likes is crap - PURE crap
well thats a lot of crap
starbucks is at the top of that list
and I agree
stars go see shows all the time
its no big deal
esp if they like it
I am more offended then anything
Wicked is a musical not a play there is a difference
PLAY
A literary work written for performance on the stage; a drama.
The performance of such a work.
MUSICAL
A play or movie that contains musical numbers.
A musical comedy
see a play is just diologue and a musical has music
I think shes an idiot
more so then Jessica Simpson

Britney Spears has seen Wicked? So???
So has about 1900 people 8 times a week since last October...
exactly what I was saying
You're actually "offended" because she called WICKED a play? Last I checked, any piece of theater with a book can be correctly referred to as a play. And even if not, offended?? You're offended??? Wow. Seriously. Way too much energy to spend on that.
Brit probably saw it because she knows Laura Bell Bundy...appartently she understudied Laura (good for you) in a show years ago!!

The play/musical thing tends to drive me up the wall, as well, but it could be worse. At least that kind of mistake shows that the person considers a musical to be just as legitimate a form of theater as a play. Which, believe it or not, many people still don't. Updated On: 10/6/04 at 11:51 AM
I thought this thread title was a joke! I thought it was intended to be ironic since there has been so much discussion about pop stars and broadway. :)
Britney loved this y'all. She loves it so much she's gon' be Glinder in the movie!
An epiphany? I enjoyed the show, but it was not life changing for me! And I am dying to read this letter that she is writing. And yes. Celebrities see shows all the time. They like theatre too! So why the big media blitz on her seeing Wicked?
OK...I just had to share this with you all....no offense to Spears' fans but...it's funny!
I know the Britney-bashers would love to think of her as desperate...but desperate for what? She seems to be doing quite well with work, attention, and money...what do you all think she's desperate FOR, exactly?

Love?

Britney is easily distracted by bright lights and shiny things, so you KNOW she was flipping out during a few scenes... like a chiuaua on speed sitting in the middle of six lanes of traffic.
Anyone barely two weeks or whatever into their marriage better not be desperate for love...or they're in big trouble. Which she may be.
There is no question of that Rath.
