Hey guys, I'm trying to come up with a list of Broadway actors/actresses who have done voice-over work for animated films.

For example: Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick in "The Lion King" and Anika Noni Rose in "The Princess and the Frog."

I know there must be more...

And of course Kristen Chenoweth does tons and tons of voice-over work, most notably in featured roles in Disney's Tinker Bell movies and the Fox comedy "Sit Down, Shut Up."

bethnor,

That's a great find! Thanks so much for posting the link.

I love the comment that says they cast her THEN asked her if she could sing. Her reaction: "Pfft. No problem." LOL

Rachel was also a voice in Happy Feet. And of course Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, and Anthony LaPaglia starred.

Hello Kiddies!

I know it will seem that way just because it's such a recent film, but Jen Cody's performance in "Princess and the Frog" is one of the funniest voice over performances I think I've ever seen.

I love having that girl on Broadway, but she should continue to contribute her talent to working on animated films.

has anybody seen my sweet boy, White Shirt? He stopped posting on here after people made fun of his lack of professionalism.

That's a great find! Thanks so much for posting the link.

if you liked that, you should watch the whole episode. to give a context: circe has turned wonder woman into a pig, and batman and zatanna are chasing her down (the episode is a farce, and a love letter to bewitched), and catch up with her in this clip. considering none of it actually happened, rachel's comedic timing was flawless. though i guess there were storyboards.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAlC4e1gbWk&NR=1

obviously, though his bway career was not huge, kevin conroy is the voice of batman (and many fans would list him as the definitive batman).

similarly, mark hamill was the voice of the joker (and, despite what the uneducated masses believe, a superior one to ledger, with all due respect).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c1R3V93bOc

hard to believe that's luke skywalker cackling away.
