is anyone going to this? I'm still debating if I want to spend the money and rush over from work...but it looks like it might be really interesting.

Posted: 11/2/08 at 9:54pmHow can they call GYPSY a "Hit" if it hasn't recouped?

Posted: 11/2/08 at 10:09pmBecause they tried "the Broadway flop Gypsy" and "the Broadway not-quite-a-hit-yet Gypsy" and neither of them tripped off the tongue.

Do we think this is going to be any different than her usual interviews?
Is it just going to be Patti talking about how she never wanted to play Mama Rose, but that she wanted to play Tulsa? etc, etc, etc...

Posted: 11/3/08 at 9:00pmJust returned from this and I have to say that the best part of it all was how little Gypsy was discussed - even Les Mouches. It really was a career-spanning discussion. She said she wanted the world to see Patti as the comedienne and not just Patti as Evita - she was hysterical tonight, witty and truly engaging. $30 was a bargain for this discussion, audience Q&A and CD signing.

Posted: 11/3/08 at 9:19pmand she is one of those B-divas who thinks she is more famous than she really is.

Last night was incredible. We got confirmation, FROM PATTI, that the show will be closing on March 1st and that it was decided going into this production that she would not be replaced.
It was great hearing her talk about everything. This truly was an exceptional interview/discussion.
