Mary Poppins, so far, has been between 90%-92% in attendence, except for the past few holiday weeks. It's just getting back to normal, Bundy.
Why must we look at attendence as a definitive killer of a show? Yes, Spring went down, but not significantly GROSS wise....attendence went down a slope, but money wise, they had a -$4,192 difference...nothing to cry about.
The only thing you'd have to worry about it whether or not that's even breaking even (I do not know if it is).

Posted: 1/16/07 at 5:51pmI just thought Mary Poppins was a killer play to see since it was "sold out into the summer" said one of my friends. I thought I really was getting my money's worth and was extremely lucky. Oh well as you probably know I have high expectations but i don't mean to be negative its just how I am I guess. My 2 cents

I am sorry I didnt mean to analyze it. I just do what I hear and expect nothing less. In real life i am not usually like this its just Broadway theatre has been one thing in life that has become a part of me and to see what i like dissapear makes me feeling like disappearing and triggers my "Temper,Temper" sorry again

Stop the bleeding for Company. How much longer will it stay open?
I wonder what Raul's next project is going to be...

Posted: 1/17/07 at 8:32amI dont understand how SA went down. Everytime I go or when I hear about people going, it is always very full. Does the fact it is a smaller theater have anything to do with it?

You're hearing about one single performance. One or two sold out performances....you know.
The show still broke even (and above), so we can't really complain...
re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 1/14/2007#19
Posted: 1/17/07 at 9:43amThe next couple of months are odd ones. Historically a slow time for Broadway theatre and with the awards season coming up, voters for the various awards are invited to attend. So while a theatre might look full, not everyone is paying. Heck even if the theatre isn't full, not everyone is paying.
