re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 10/9/2005

Columbus Day Weekend always gives a spike in sales to most shows.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

i was at In My Life last Thursday and it looked to be a lot more full than 37%. Do comps count as tickets sold or do comps not count as part of the percentages?

For example, if the theater was 100% full of people, but only half of them paid, would the statistics show 50% or 100% capacity?

CHITTY did just awesome! Almost 3,000 more seats sold with gross up by nearly a quarter million bucks over last week!!!! CHITTY ROCKS!!!!!

When they say "highest ticket" does that mean highest ticket sold or the highest ticket available? Cause the highest ticket for In My Life was like $101.25 and I just can't imagine anyone shelling out that kind of money for this show?

Go RENT, almost 90%! Amazing how quickly things change, Lion King is back to nearly 100% and other shows (Chitty, Fiddler, BATB, etc) took big jumps!

i can't imagine spending $101.25 on In My Life either Rentboy, but to some people, spending $100 is like the equivalent of normal people like paying $5.00...i'm sure there are some suckers who paid top price for this.

What I don't get is why the top ticket price for Odd Couple is listed as $100. Haha - I wish! re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 10/9/2005

Producersfan, yeah, that $100 figure is obviously a mistake, considering the average ticket price is listed at $101.18. re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 10/9/2005

It was a good week for most shows but that's typical of this week every year. The Columbus Day weekend brings in lots of tourists but it's usually pretty bleak from now til Thanksgiving. So, yeah, Rent at 86% is not all that amazing, unfortunately.

Wow good for Chitty- it really is a fun show! Congrats to all the shows that did well! In My Life???..... and where's Sweeney!?

Rent at 86% is actually pretty good, about half the shows didn't even break 80%.

What a CRAZY WEEK -a nice little pick me up from some slower weeks -and I mean, that Rent number is VERY good when you consider what it WAS.

And In My Life -if you look it actually has the lowest average ticket price. People like us want to see it, we just don't want to pay!!!
-Anyone want to turn anarchist with me?
