Knowing people on these boards, (like me), I wouldn't trust someone saying a show is closing before an offical announcement.
Are you admitting that your posts are frequently fabrications?

Posted: 11/26/12 at 6:27pmFor people trying to figure out the attendance drop for Scandalous. Remember all during previews it was a Buy One, Get One deal and probably lots of papering. So if you think about it, without the BOGO previews would be playing to almost no one. Reminds me of going to "Lysistrata Jones" and feeling like there were 50 people in the audience.

Posted: 11/26/12 at 6:29pmQuiche... I'm a fan of "Chicago" obviously. But I'm trying to make up for all those years I went to NYC and never saw the show. Once I saw it....I LOVED it. Tough times for the cast of "Scandalous" and "Chaplin." Sending good thoughts their way. from RC in Austin, Texas

Posted: 11/26/12 at 6:58pmI admitted that a long time ago, just not on this board. Me and everyone else I know realized that I'm an idiot YEARS ago.

Please. Get off your high holy horse and stop attacking someone for saying on here that SCANDALOUS is closing soon. This is a public forum and people are able to say whatever they want. You, me, all of us are free to believe as much or as little of it as WE want. Cast members are not idiots. They can put two and two together (33% capacity, all-cast meeting tomorrow before showtime) and draw their own conclusion. And anyone in the show who doesn't want to be 'shocked' to find out this information shouldn't be reading a thread on a Broadway website about Broadway grosses. "Rude?" I think not. It's showbiz, folks.

People are able to say whatever they want, but realize the door swings both ways. Don't say something if you don't like what the responses could be.
If someone wants to try and make themselves sound smart by talking about a source six degrees removed from them, that's their prerogative, but I'm then allowed to call them out on being ridiculous. See how that works?

I truly doubt that anyone cares a rat's butt about the response from one of the rah-rah-let's-hope-every-show-runs-forever types on here.
And if the Scandalous cast can't see that they're playing to a 2/3 empty house every night, then they also probably can't read, either, and will not be affected by any online posts. I imagine that they're thankful for every additional day they stay open and know the end is nigh.
Look on the bright side - they got some good paychecks and a Broadway credit for their bio.

zamedy- and those who think it's rude are allowed to say so. But thanks for the clarification as to "what a message board" is...I feel much more informed, I had no idea.
to clarify...the part I thought was rude wasn't the fact they are closing, it's someone CLAIMING to have inside information and saying , "the cast will hear" tonight...
which incidentally, I don't see posts of anyone who has.
and before you say anything, YES, I am Kathie Lee Gifford.

Posted: 11/28/12 at 7:18pmI have a question about shows (unnamed) with very few people in the audience on a given day. Will the show/theatre people keep them in their seats or try to convince them to move into the orchestra section? How often does that happen? Just wondering....from RC in Austin, Texas

Posted: 11/28/12 at 7:23pmAt both Venus and Fur and The Best Man, the ushers basically condensed the sections I was in (balcony, mezz respectively) so it didn't seem so empty.
