Next to Normal Pink 2027

Jun 25, 2026 — 9:18:56 AM

I said this weeks ago when this first popped up (more because the rumors include her daughter playing Natalie)... I really don't see a 15-year-old with zero professional experience being trusted with a part like that 8 times a week. I guess if her mother comes with the deal, producers would swallow it and put up the money, but it just seems way too far fetched for me to believe it.

Jason Robert Brown Says Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil Is Still Waiting for a Broadway Theatre

RippedMan said: "Without Ghee I don't really see the point. They were the show. I also like where the show was going with multiple people direct addressing to the audience. Hopefully they kept the weirdness."I didn't see the tryout but Ghee performed one of the songs at JRB's Carnegie Hall concert last year, and it was astounding. Received a huge ovation and I really thought that I didn't care if the show was crap, I'd go just to see them perform that song.

Oof-- I'm also not understanding the "General" checkbox option above the "Select Performance" bar... Is that something we're supposed to select each time?

Next to Normal Broadway Transfer Fall 2026

Jun 16, 2026 — 11:22:19 AM

I'm sorry I have a really hard time believing that someone looked at a 15 year old with zero professional experience and said, "Oh yeah, she can handle performing Natalie 8 times a week..."This is way too far fetched, but I guess people have sunk money into wackier things.

Who Is Your One Personal MUST WIN Tony Award This Year?

May 7, 2026 — 8:17:57 AM

I'll echo Joshua Henry and add LOST BOYS for Lighting Design. It could have been just the view from my seat, but the intricate, specific, and detailed lighting during the flying sequences blew me away. I maybe saw one wire the entire performance. That is the must win for me.

Just wild to be on the negative side of it."Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Gaga orBeyoncé would be a major get. I'm not talking about talent, folk.I'm talking about relevancy. Just because we don't agree doesn't mean I'm being negative. We don't all have to think alike."Wild to say the artist who had the 3rd highest grossing global tour of 2024 isn't relevant... that's ce...

CHESS 2025 Broadway Cast Recording Thread

Apr 14, 2026 — 12:04:28 PM

I'm sure it's just me, but is any one else shocked by how much Michele sounds like Idina. She launched into "Press Conference" and I thought I was accidentally playing the 2008 concert...

And the evidence isn’t not convincing given there were other shows with Jewish subject matter that went their entire runs at the same time wi...

LEMPICKA Reviews

2024 Cast Albums ?

I really thought they would’ve announced it by now."From a rights/royalties perspective, I wonder if the producers are still in negotiations with the band's business arm (or whoever controls The Who's catalog...) LEMPICKA closing May 19

May 3, 2024 — 4:28:51 PM

I'm bummed about this one. Not that I thought it was any kind of game-changer, but I found Lempicka much more engaging and entertaining than most new productions this season (and some from last season too). And I still don't understand why the historical inaccuracies had so many critics outraged-- as if Amadeus and Evita aren't riddled with dramatic license (or The Sound of Music and Hamilton for that matter). Criticism of the book and character development I completely understand (and mostly ...

I find it hilarious that those criticizing some of the pro-Lempicka reactions to the reviews are now having such a similar overreaction to this ad.

Next to Normal Broadway Revival?

Caissie sounded brilliant at the Olivier Awards. At the same time, after seeing those short clips of Heidi Blickenstaff floating around online... good lord-- that's casting I never knew I needed. And yes, keep Lea far, far, far, far away...
