Posted: 2/25/08 at 3:37pm"ITH" was just about sold out each time that I have seen it so far--- only shows that seem to be less crowded have been the Sunday @ 7pm shows.

Posted: 2/25/08 at 3:38pmI'm PRAYING that the reviews help Passing Strange. There's no reason why something this fresh and unique shouldn't find an audience. They need a better maketing team stat.

Posted: 2/25/08 at 3:46pmI suspect that Passing Strange doesn't have the requisite monies to conduct an agressive marketing campaign. I don't think it's for lack of ineptitude on the part of their staff.

Okay.
We all need to - right now - get in a prayer circle, and pray to the Gods of Rock 'n' Roll (you know who you are) that PASSING STRANGE gets raves.
It'll become this year's AMOUR/HIGH FIDELITY/THE TIMES if it doesn't.

Woo hoo for RENT! 90% two weeks in a row!
Also, Chicago will be gone by 2009's end.

Posted: 2/25/08 at 4:36pmNo! Chicago is just having some rough weeks, and I think their problem might have also been cutting off so many of the discounts because of the President's day Holiday.

Posted: 2/25/08 at 4:52pmHow do you people think Passing Strange is going to get raves?? I don't understand what I am missing.

It got raves Off-Broadway.
That's what you're missing.
That is the reason it moved to Broadway.

Posted: 2/25/08 at 5:05pmITH must be papering pretty heavily...they've sold 80% of their seats, but made less than $400,000 in a fairly large house. The theatre was definitely full Friday night, and that was the day of the bad weather.
