Is Groban missing for illness? Seems like he's been out a lot. It's not a vocal demanding role, no?

it actually is. Dust and Ashes is very much in his range, but some of Pierre's other songs require him to use a rougher tone that could be damaging if he doesn't take care of his voice properly. His standby, Scott Stangland, has a rock tenor voice that is "built better" to withstand those rougher parts so to speak lol. Groban brings a more classical, traditional musical theatre type of voice.
makes me wonder how Adam Pascal would fare in the role, com e to think of it

"In Transit is holding out until the Tony nominations."
If that's true, then it's likely that another $1.4M will go down the drain, just to make a rich man's wife feel like a real Broadway producer.

They're also not going to be nominated for anything. Nothing in that show is worthy, IMO.

Lead producers Janet & Marvin Rosen appear to have tried to drum up some free publicity for the show recently by inviting the Clintons (Marvin raised the money for Bill's reelection). But it appears that all the press went to Hillary, with very little mention of the show itself.
Of course, Hillary Clinton is infinitely more significant than this show...

In regard to In Transit holding on until the Tony's, it seems to me to make more sense for the producers to just tell the cast and crew to simply stay at home and continue to direct deposit their earnings until about mid June.
It wouldn't affect the inevitable net result in the least.

A lot of people are out sick where I work, and none of them have to sing at all...
