It also has a much busier set with a trap door, etc. Next to Normal is a pretty small, simple show. But yeah that is crazy numbers wise. If the smallest theater on Broadway has to pull in half a mill to just break even.

Or Life of Pi.

Life of Pi's producers are assessing ticket sales to see if the Tony's will have an effect on sales. It will likely remain open through its current ticket sales period, which is Sept. 3, regardless if they get a bump or not.

I am curious what a good week will look like for Kimberly Akimbo given the size of the theater. It’s been selling out all week, at higher prices than it usually charges, including premium seats - and is pretty much off the TKTS booth.

Obviously, what matters more is whether the Tony Awards boost will have staying power. But I’m still curious.

I doubt the other shows that won major awards will get much of a boost. Best Revival and Best Play don’t seem to matter as much. Parade has been doing fine anyway.
