I wonder why Sister Act only did 7 shows that week. all the other shows did 8(including Book or Mormon, Catch Me & Priscilla).

I know it's like it isn't doing better because people don't want to see it. Anyway Wicked is doing good. The Lion King raised their prices right?

After last night they probably will get a boost. It was a fun number they did.

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Spider-Man sold more tickets than any other show. (Yes, they have more to sell than any other show)

You realize its running costs are about 1.1 million. 100,000 profit (good, but still 70 million dollar show) but it doesn't have steady grosses. Also it hasn't even play 200 performances and it can barely make 60% potential. Not a good sign.

Is there ever going to be a week where the Book of Mormon doesn't earn more money?

For those who thought NEXT TO NORMAL wouldn't have a life outside Broadway, well it's now playing in 4 cities, 9 different countries and has been translated into 6 languages.

That's true, but very few shows reach their potential grosses on a weekly and consistent basis. Of course the other shows can afford it a lot more since their running cost is not so high, but their grosses are not terrible by any means. It's enough to get by for now. I'm sure all shows will pick up in the summer.

Oh I know they aren't terrible. But they have so little wiggle room. I hope it does well. It employs a lot of people. Thats the problem though is Mamma Mia can stay open with it reaching late 30's after Christmas while Spider-Man can't hit 50 or below.

Happy for Jerusalem though.
