You can be sure Disney wants to announce that Newsies was a success after their recent track record...as well at the fact that the movie was a complete flop...now that I am thinking about it I wouldn't be surprised if the National Tour and recoupment announcement comes tomorrow since the film is being rereleased on DVD tomorrow.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

If the reported $5m budget for Newsies is correct, then they would have recouped already.

"Way to go Wicked, again grossing the highest for this week at almost $2M!"

Says the person who wondered if it was closing. You got smarts, don't ya

Look, the wording on the site confused me. So please don't ruin this pleasant evening.

They should do a combo-pack of Newsies and American Psycho/The Machinist. Look at Jack Kelly now, kiddies!

Well, that's what I assumed, but I OWN the DVD of Newsies -- I've had it for a number of months (don't remember when I picked it up); but I don't remember it being any big deal.
