Bring It On's top price is $75 for previews when purchased in advance. That would account for the low potential gross.

Poppins does well during holidays but not so well at quieter times, Disney must be sastified with it still to keep it open, must be one of the few Broadway transfers to outrun its West End counterpart.

Actually, it's been doing fine lately even during quieter times, and of course fantastically well during holidays. A rare example of a show stemming its decline. Disney was probably right to sense there was a saturation point for shows that appealed almost exclusively to families and to stop adding to the supply, for now. It seems Little Mermaid hurt Poppins. Newsies, not so much.

Different audience. Little Mermaid -- girls only and more appealing to the little ones.

Newsies -- males and females, good for family 10 and up. (Possibly even younger.)

And even thought I don't LOVE Newsies, it is FAR better than the vomit-fest that was Little Mermaid.
